DRIVING back from Shropshire on Boxing Day we saw many posters announcing "59 PER CENT WANT HUNTING TO CONTINUE". But on the same day, according to photographs in the Bolton Evening News, protesters were claiming that "76 PER CENT SAY NO TO HUNTING".
According to my definition of percent, that doesn't add up. Still, it does give me the chance to approve the proposed change in our town's name. I back Bolton-le-Moors -- 110 per cent!
