YOUNGSTERS from two schools are preparing to take part in a unique arts performance.
The Timeline Project, being run by Bolton music Centre, will see 120 pupils from Crompton Fold Primary School and Withins High School given just five days to learn and rehearse for a music, dance and poetry spectacular.
The nine to 12 year-olds will then make their debut appearances on stage at the Octagon Theatre at a public show.
After the first workshops at Bolton Music Centre, at The Deane School, this week, the budding performers will then have just a few days before making their nerve-wracking entries to the arts world on Thursday January 15. Organiser Ian Bamford said the tight deadline would test the children.
"They will be working with professionals and it will be a great experience for them," he said.
The project is being funded by a grant from awards for all.
A limited number of tickets remain from Bolton Music Centre on 01204 333533 and some may be available on the night.
