YOURI Djorkaeff says the time has come for Wanderers to deliver the results to match their winning mentality.
The talismanic Frenchman believes Wanderers are capable of casting off their reputation as perennial Premiership strugglers.
But the man who scored World Cup and European Championship triumphs with France and who is one of the world's most respected players - wants to see points on the board to justify his confidence.
"We are starting to be winners after two years of surviving," Djorkaeff said in a personal assessment of Wanderers' progress since Sam Allardyce brought him in from the cold after he had been frozen out at Kaiserslautern.
"We know how to win games; we have shown that on many occasions. But it seems a long time ago since we had some success. Okay, we have played well and we could have had a point against Manchester United, but we need to start getting the points again now."
Wanderers have taken only two points from their last four Premiership games since winning at Chelsea on December 13. They have slipped back into the bottom half of the table and go into tomorrow's Ewood Park derby just four points clear of the relegation zone.
Djorkaeff remains optimistic but chose his words carefully, noting the progress but pointing out the pitfalls of not beating the teams around them, highlighting the recent home draw against Leicester as an example.
"We are learning about Manchester United and Arsenal, which is good, but what is very important is to get results against teams like Blackburn and Leicester," he said.
"We know how to win. We were not able to do that on Wednesday night but I'm sure if we play the same against Blackburn as we did in the second 45 minutes against Manchester United, we will come back with a good result.
"In the past we have played more aggressively over 90 minutes but I think maybe only the last 45 minutes was high quality. We can be proud of the second half but it's got to be 90 minutes."
Ricardo Gardner was today expecting to be given a detailed assessment of the knee injury he suffered in the United game. Emerson Thome is likely to return to the starting line-up in his absence.
