ANGELA Kelly takes a personal look at the week in cyberspace in Bolton:

Saturday brought an excellent suggestion, resulting from a scheme tried out in the besieged Haulgh area of Bolton, to extend throughout the borough a ban on drinking in the street. Not sure how that would affect the drunken crowds that lurch between the pubs and bars of Deansgate on a Friday night, though. Archer's and Becks might go into receivership as a result. On Monday, the row lumbered on about the daft idea to change Bolton's name to Bolton-le-Moors with Cllr Guy Harkin and leader Cllr Bob Howarth exchanging salvos. That's one way to kill it off -- make it a political hot potato and the punters lose interest ..... Tuesday revealed the court case of a Horwich man caught during the Christmas drink-driving crackdown. Just three days after being banned for drink driving, he was four times over the limit. Just a thought, but if they impounded his car as well as banning him, the risk of repeat offences might diminish. Just a thought .... Brave little heart transplant patient Amy Morris went back to school on Wednesday -- now there's a remarkable soul to put minor ills into perspective. And an excellent system of using teenagers excluded from secondary school as basic maths tutors for primary school youngsters definitely sounds the way for ward for all concerned ..... On Thursday, positive news that the Bolton Arena -- which has a mixed history of use -- could be used as a venue for top bands after a £335,000 revamp looked good for Bolton's image and coffers. Not so good for me, though -- we're moving to a house within ear-splitting distance this year .... And on Friday, there was good coverage of an excellent charity tribute night at the Reebok for Bolton Wanderers' manager Sam Allardyce. Among the fulsome accolades were kind words (if not deeds during the 2-1 Man U win over Wanderers the night before) by Sir Alex Ferguson. Peter Reid, journalist Bob Cass and PFA's Gordon Taylor were especially funny.
