ALL four Horwich RMI Harriers competing in last Saturday's Lancashire AA Cross-Country Championships came away with medals.

Katie Ingram struck gold in the Junior Women's (under-20) category at the championships, held at Witton Park, Blackburn.

Suzanne Budgett also ran a great race to finish seventh in the Senior Ladies' race, winning the silver medal for the Ladies' over-40 category.

Mick Crook won a bronze medal in the men's over-55 section, finishing 80th in the senior men's race.

And Paul Murray was crowned men's over-60 champion, finishing close behind in 83rd.

Snow greeted the runners at Marjorie's New Year's Day Multi-Terrain race at Rochdale and forced organisers to revise the course to three laps around the reservoir.

Colin Rigby finished 12 seconds behind the winner Wajib Ali, and Rob Jackson ran well to finish sixth. Steve Jackson finished 12th and was second veteran overall.
