Gainsborough Trinity 6 Radcliffe Borough 2: BOROUGH crumbled to another heavy defeat against a very impressive Gainsborough Trinity.
A mistake by Neil Whitworth let in Lee Ellington for the opening goal after only eight minutes and things got worse when skipper Davey Luker was forced out of the action two minutes later.
Borough didn't seriously threaten until the second half, by which time Trinity had doubled their 2-0 half time advantage.
James Price grabbed one for Boro after 65 minutes with a low drive and Robbie Whellans headed home a late consolation.
Borough played the last 25 minutes with 10 men after substitute Jason Astley limped off, and Trinity picked them off at will with six different players getting on the scoresheet.
Kevin Glendon's men have an equally daunting prospect when they visit high-flying Worksop Town next Saturday when the manager hopes to have recruited much needed new blood.
