POPULAR opera pieces will be sung by international stars at a special concert at the Victoria Hall on Saturday, January 31.
The concert is organised by the Bolton Freemasons in St John's Lodge 325 and all proceeds will go to the United Grand Lodge of England's Grand Charity Festival and will form part of a larger donation to Cancer Research and the British Heart foundation.
The singers are English soprano Barbara Segal; French baritone Jean-Luc Eveque; Norwegian soprano Sonja Nerdrun; South African bass Ewan Taylor; Irish mezzo soprano Margaret Maguire and Russian tenor Alexandre Naumenko.
The programme includes much-loved songs such as the Toreador Song from Bizet's Carmen; Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves from Verdi's Nabucco; The Locket Duet from Mozart's Cosi Fan Tutte and Mira o Norma from Bellini's Norma.
The concert starts at 7pm. Tickets available from Bolton Town Hall; the Tourist Information at the Central Library; The Octagon Theatre and Booths Music Shop. Unsold tickets are available on the night.
