Bolton & District Sunday League: ONLY two Bolton Sunday League matches were played - both in Division One - as the weather played havoc with the fixture list.
A man-of-the-match performance from Clifton Rangers' goalkeeper Phil French could not stop Britannia Farnworth winning 3-2.
Tony Wallbank hit two goals and Shaun Gregson one for Britannia, while Gary French and Tony Cooper scored for Clifton.
At Dukes Gate, Piped Piper beat Smithills 8-3, with Chris Berry and Darren Porter Jnr scoring hat-tricks and Mick Trainor scoring two, while Dave Smith (2) and Stew Dean found the net for Smithills.
The Bolton Sunday League's next meeting is on Tuesday, January 27, at Tonge Moor Con Club (7.30pm).
