A SPECIALIST sports college is holding a health fair to help people keep young, fit and healthy.

Thornleigh Salesian College in Astley Bridge is holding the fair on Thursday, January 22, from 7pm to 9pm in its sports hall.

There will be many experts on hand to offer advice, including Julie Arrojo who gives advice in the Bolton Evening News and owns Chic Beauty Rooms in Bolton.

The Rotary Club will be doing blood pressure tests, while the Bridgewater Therapy Centre will offer massage, homeopathy and acupuncture.

Reiki Bliss will demonstrate their diagnostic techniques, which involve using colour therapy, crystals or just by looking at feet, and Bolton's NHS services will offer support for those who want to stop smoking

Representatives from Slimming World and Weightwatchers will be giving dietary advice, while tutors from Bolton Institute will be available to talk about their health care and beauty courses.

Pathways, an organisation which offers sporting opportunities for young and old people and free coaching courses, will also be at the event. A mini-shootout game has been organised for children and the event is free.
