II WAS wondering if people realise some of the costs involved in changing Bolton's name.

I worked for a company which had approximately 4,000 employees and they decided to change their name. The cost of changing the letterhead on all their official stationery, signage outside their four campuses, re-lettering on the 100 company vehicles etc, cost in excess of £5m.

The cost of changing all the Bolton signs, and everything which the borough currently has the name BOLTON written on it, would also be in the millions of pounds. The 'tax paying' people of Bolton would be responsible for those expenses and maybe should consider that fact when the next election comes around.
