POLICE are trying to trace a car driver who crashed into a lamp post and drove off without reporting the accident.
The driver of the green Mondeo left the M61 at junction four at Watergate Lane and lost control on the roundabout.
The car is believed to have been extensively damaged at the front.
Traffic Police from Bolton are appealing for anyone who saw the collision to call 0161 856 5972.
