WITH reference to G R Williams' letter in last Monday's Bolton Evening News, I couldn't agree more with his message, "Give Liberals a chance".
Having voted Liberal all my life, I have noticed after every General Election the turnout is lower than the preceding one. From this fact I assume that the electorate are dissatisfied with the administration, whether Tory or Labour!
I would have thought that, in this situation, to do as your correspondent says and "Give Liberals a chance", if only on the basis of "They can't do any worse", would be well worth a try!
However, as shown recently, before the American-stimulated, senseless war in Iraq, the only political leader to actively declare his position was Charles Kennedy, the Lib Dem leader.
Integrity seems to be sadly missing in politics these days.
