BOLTON residents are being urged to take part in the 25th RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch on January 24 and 25.
Last year, 6,380 people took part across Greater Manchester, when the starling was recorded as the most common garden bird in the county.
Residents spend one hour counting birds in their garden or local park, and record the highest number of each bird species seen at any one time. Visit the RSPB website www.rspb.org.uk/
birdwatch for an online survey or call 0870 601 0215.
