PROUD parents turned out to watch their youngsters perform at The Octagon Theatre on Friday night.
Year Six pupils from Crompton Fold Primary School, Poulton Avenue, Breightmet, joined forces with Year Seven pupils from neighbouring Withins High School, Newby Road, to create their own fusion of music, dance and drama. The Timeline Project -- which told the story of the children's life so far and their hopes for the future -- was produced from scratch by the 120 pupils during just five workshops, with the help of the Bolton Music Service and local artists.
Diane O'Brien, headteacher at Crompton Fold, said: "We focus on the arts and music, so we jumped at the chance to become involved with this project.
"It gave the children an opportunity to work closely and forge relationships with older pupils as well as allowing them to express their creativity through music in a more advanced way than they may have had chance to do at school."
