Bolton Darts League

Heats have already taken place at the Moonlight Club, in St George's Road, and at The Albert, in Derby Street - the competition is down to heat winners at both venues - and at the Pilkington Arms, in Derby Street.

The eight through to the final are Eva Holden, Marian Heyes, Pat Boardman, Dee Tong, Marie Bell, Julie Handley, Gail Makinson and Alison Lomax.

Four players - two each from the Moonlight Club and the Pilkington Arms - have qualified for the Men's Round the Board final.

They are Wayne Merrick, Paul Baistow, Carl Cornwell and Roy Nield. The finalists in both competitions will play off for their respective titles at the end of the season.

Gary Parr leads the Men's Section at the Plikington Arms by six points from Carl Cornwell.

Les Harrison, Martin Lomax, Colin Roe, Roy Nield and B Robinson are just another two points behind.

At the Moonlight Club, Wayne Merrick heads the Men's Section One, four points ahead of Paul Baistow and Wayne Clark, who recorded a maximum score of 180 last week.

Following close behind are Dave Smith, Mick Meanley and Steve Finch.

Kath Lawson and June Scott are tied on points and aggregate at the top of the Ladies' Section, played at the Albert.

In third is Dee Tong and Marie Watts in fourth.
