GOLF and cricket stars from all over the world now have a Bolton connection.
Bolton law firm Kippax Beaumont Lewis (KBL) is making a name for itself in world-class golf and cricket after being invited to act on behalf of top sports agency International Sport Management Ltd (ISM) on several of its major sponsorship contracts.
The work includes contract negotiations for golfers Darren Clarke, -- ranked 11th in the world -- and Lee Westwood, named Asprey Golfer of the Month in September after his outstanding performance on The European Tour.
Cricketers involved with ISM include Neil Fairbrother, Michael Vaughan, Marcus Trescothick, Andrew Flintoff, James Anderson and Matthew Hoggard.
KBL has also advised ISM on the promotion and running of the Daily Telegraph Damovo British Masters, providing legal representation on contract work between promoters and the European Tour.
KBL already has strong links with the golfing world. The firm is appointed by the National Golf Club Advisory Association as its recommended employment advisor.
Martin Kippax, senior partner at KBL, a former scratch golfer and competitor in the Open Championship said: "Acting for such talented sportsmen as Darren Clarke and Lee Westwood is a great thrill, especially when you're involved in the game.
"KBL has valuable experience in contractual and sponsorship work so the firm is well placed to advise ISM. Contractual work for sport is a growth area, particularly in golf and KBL is keen to play its part."
