HARRY Redknapp insists there is nothing to fear from any team outside the top three, but he is still deeply concerned about Portsmouth's plight.
"It's frightening when I look at my squad," the Pompey boss said as he added two pending suspensions to an already crippling injury list that has put nine players out of action.
"This wouldn't be a hard league if I had a fit squad. I've said all along that I think the top three are different class, then there's Newcastle and Liverpool -- and we've beaten Liverpool. After that I think everybody can beat everybody else, I really do.
"With everybody fit we wouldn't have a problem but, at the moment, it feels like I've got no one fit!"
Portsmouth left the Reebok on Saturday beaten by a Kevin Davies goal, still looking for their first away win in the Premiership and only having scored three goals away from home. They stand just one place and two points above the relegation zone with Redknapp admitting they will struggle to beat the drop if he is unable to reinforce his decimated squad.
"I need some bodies in quickly," he said. "I've got to find them from somewhere because at the moment there's not enough players to put a decent team out in the First Division, never mind the Premiership.
"If we don't get some players in, we're going to be in deep trouble. We've got no strikers and we've got suspensions coming up now, which is all we wanted!"
Redknapp was furious with Serb defender Dejan Stefanovic, who was sent off in injury-time for using foul and abusive language to referee Phil Dowd. He faces a suspension and a club fine -- as does substitute Kevin Harper, who was sent off in a midweek reserve game.
"It's stupidity getting sent off in a reserve game and getting sent off for foul and abusive language with a minute to go -- they'll both be heavily fined because we need people playing not suspended."
Pompey belied their poor travelling record, defending well in the first half then fashioning a number of good scoring chances that could have earned them at least an equaliser after Davies' 53rd minute strike.
Redknapp lamented: "We didn't have any problems first half but we started the second half sloppily when it was important to start well.
"We got punished with a scrambled goal then took the game to them. We just couldn't get the goal we wanted.
"It's always going to be tough at Bolton. They are a good side and they've had a terrific season so far. They've got people who can hurt you, for sure -- a lot of ability -- but I thought we coped.
"We had loads of chances; we've hit the post and got in some great positions late on but we really needed to punish them.
"I don't know why we can't score away from home. We have a go every week.
"We never go away and shut up shop and there's never been a game where we've been battered, apart from Newcastle, where we lost 3-0.
"But you can't get away from the fact that we are short of goals -- and now players."
