THESE fine young lads represented St Mary's school football team in Bridge Street, Bolton, in 1951/52.
Mr Tom Harrington of Westfield Road, Bolton, (that's him fifth from the left on the back row) sent me the picture with an admirably detailed caption.
The school was where the Moat House hotel stands now.
Tom tells me: "The top team in the Catholic League at that time was St Peter & Paul's with St Edmund's a close second.
"St Mary's tended to make the numbers up."
Front row (left to right): Roy Cumisky, David Sullivan, Don Reynolds, Vincent Winder, Brendan Coleman, Terry Gilligan.
Back row (left to right): Jim McCarthy, Fred Spragg, Joe Mackey, Shaun Regan, Tom Harrington, Martin Melody.
