A WOMAN was taken to hospital after a chip shop range caught fire.
Firefighters were called to a chip shop in New Lane Breightmet, Bolton, at 5.10pm yesterday after the range used for frying fish and chips burst into flames.
The crew from Bolton Central used an aerial appliance to tackle the fire.
The woman was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital suffering from the effects of inhaling smoke.
