THOMAS Hitzlsperger believes Aston Villa must go all out for victory when they visit the Reebok tonight.

The German under-21 international midfielder said that David O'Leary's team are aiming to win both legs of their Carling Cup semi-final clash with Wanderers.

Any thoughts of playing for a draw will be banished from the minds of the Villa squad when they step out tonight - even though they have home advantage in next Tuesday's second leg.

"We go up there to win," Hitzlsperger told Villa's official website. "We can't afford to think about keeping it tight because we've got the home advantage in the second leg. We want to win both games.

"If we don't win, we want to score goals to give us the best possible chance in the return leg. That's the only way to approach it."

Hitzlsperger is likely to start at the Reebok tonight if midfielder Gavin McCann fails to shake off a knee injury.

But Villa boss O'Leary's main concern is how to stop Jay-Jay Okocha - a player he compares to great French playmaker Michel Platini.

O'Leary said: "Okocha is just a very talented player who, on his day is a matchwinner.

"He's a good player, the type of player that can win a game for you. He can open up a game. He has great imagination and he excites the crowds, without a doubt.

"He comes from midfield through. He's a player in the Platini mould, breaking on to things. He comes from deep and that can be hard for a defender to deal with."
