Mohamed Jiva, aged 52, of Bridgeman Street, Bolton, could have been banned from driving by Rochdale magistartes after he admitted travelling at 82mph on the M62 at Heywood where a temporary limit of 50mph was in force due to extensive roadworks.
But Jiva produced a doctor's note for his diabetic wife, who was a passenger in his car at the time.and had become ill on route to visit their student daughter in Bradford.
