A NEW chapter begins in Tonge Moor next month when a state-of-the-art library opens its doors.
Free internet access and the loan of CDs will be among the services available when the library opens at the Castle Hill Centre, Castleton Street, on February 2.
The old library, which had been open for more than 70 years, closed on Friday.
The new library is at present being stocked and a mobile library will be parked outside the old building in Tonge Moor Road from 9.30am to 11.30am, next Monday.
Books due back can be renewed on-line and borrowers can use their library ticket at any of Bolton's public libraries.
Extended library opening hours have recently been introduced, giving everyone greater opportunity to make the most of their local library.
Opening times at the new library will be as follows: Monday, 9am - 5.30pm; Thursday, 9am-7.30pm; Friday, 9am-5.30pm; Saturday, 9am-12.30pm.
