A SPONSORED slim and a body building contest have helped to raise hundreds of pounds for a cancer charity.
Six members of Cosgrove's Physio-Fit Centre in Atherton spent between three and four months raising money for Christie's Against Cancer by losing weight.
The members were sponsored for every pound they managed to shed.
Two of the slimmers managed to lose a whopping eight stone between them.
Further cash was raised at an annual bodybuilding contest where participants were asked to donate money to the charity.
A grand total of £500 was raised and will be used to aid the treatment of skin and testicular cancer.
