FORMER Boltonian Ron Knott of Clehonger, Hereford wonders whether Looking Back readers can help him take a trip down memory lane.
Ron, who is 66, used to live in York Street, off Bridgeman Street, before he left Bolton in 1956.
When he came back recently he found that most of the area around his former home had been demolished and there was no sign either of St Mark's Church in Fletcher Street.
Ron would like to hear from anybody who knew him at St Mark's church school, which he left at 15 in 1952 to go to the Great Lever County Secondary in Bolton. He would love to have copies of any class photographs taken while he was there and any pictures of York Street or the church/school.
Ron tells me he played for Bolton's under 15s football team when he was at St Mark's and trialled for Bolton Wanderers, as did his best mate Gordon Egerton. Anybody who can help Ron can get in touch by e-mail: Drop a line...knott8112.freeserve.co.uk
