IS it possible to name the people who sit in their plush offices at the top of the NHS tree, making decisions which deprive the people of Chorley and district of a full-time service from the local hospital. Now all trauma cases must be transferred to Royal Preston Hospital which involves an horrendous journey for visiting relatives and friends, (a 38 mile round trip from Lower Adlington by car).
If one travels by bus then God help them, for it involves catching three buses, with an earnest prayer that PNE are not playing at home.
Gradually the departments at Chorley Hospital are being transferred to Preston and in a few years' time there will be no Chorley Hospital.
It will have become Chorley 9 til 5 Central Clinic.
