PHOENIX Nights stars are bringing their own brand of comedy to Bolton in the spring.
Paddy McGuinness, who plays Paddy the Doormen in the hit Channel 4 series, Archie Kelly (Kenny Senior), Steve Edge (Alan from Les Alanos) and Janice Connolly (Holy Mary) are embarking on a tour of the UK.
The Jumping on the Bandwagon show -- named tongue-in-cheek following the huge success of the Channel 4 comedy series, starring Peter Kay -- runs throughout April at venues across England.
It will be compered by Paddy, while Archie, Janice and Steve will perform their stand-up comedy acts.
Paddy said: "We won't be appearing as characters from Phoenix Nights, but the show will be a great laugh -- a mix of comedy and songs.
"We had planned to do this show for a while and tested the water with one in Manchester at the end of last year.
"It went so well that we thought we should do a tour. Peter saw it and he said that we would be mad not to organise a tour, so here we are.
"Both Peter and Dave Spikey have toured and done DVDs and we're funnier than them, so we're going to have a go."
Jokes aside, Peter and Paddy are best pals who have known each other since school days at Mount St Joseph's, Farnworth.
They are currently putting the finishing touches to the script for their next comedy TV series, Road to Nowhere, which follows the adventures of Max and Paddy, the hapless bouncers from Phoenix Nights.
Two of their three Bolton dates (April 9 and 26) are already sold out, but an extra night -- Tuesday, April 27, is now on sale.
