STYLIANOS Giannakopoulos -- the man known as Stelios -- is head over heels in love with life in Bolton.
The Wanderers' wide man wowed fans with his perfectly-executed overhead kick in the 5-2 victory over Aston Villa in the first leg of the Carling Cup semi-final.
Now, the man who won seven championships in Greece and played regular Champions League football with Olympiakos, believes he is heading for even more success.
"Life in England is a different experience," stated the winger. "I could say it is ideal for me.
"I thought it would be difficult for me to live in another place that is so different to what I'm used to and play for a team that has different goals to that of Olympiakos.
"I could never have imagined that it would be so easy for me to become a member of this squad."
Stelios is delighted with the way Wanderers are playing and believes he is part of a team that is going places.
"We are one step from the final and this is now our target," he said ahead of Tuesday's return leg at Villa Park. "We are playing some great football.
"Against Aston Villa we played very well and everything seemed to work for us. Each one of my team-mates put in a great performance.
"This club is ready for big things and that is all because of the work and the planning that was done at the beginning of the season."
His only complaint is that he does not get the same protection from referees as he did in the Greek league. "The referees here leave the game to develop, and don't protect players," he said. "That's the only thing I don't like about English football."
