AN OVERTURNED car caused chaos in Bury town centre.
The Honda Civic overturned following a collision with a Ford Escort at the junction of Walmsley Road and Peel Way at 7.30pm on Friday.
The female driver of the Honda was still inside the vehicle when it overturned, blocking the entrance into Walmsley Road, and had to be cut free by firefighters.
She was taken to Fairfield Hospital suffering from chest pains and minor injuries. The 31-year-old female Escort driver was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The busy main road was closed both ways for around 15 minutes.
