A DRUNKEN man was arrested after he damaged a room in a new hotel following an argument with a woman.
Paul Stone, aged 37, of Briggs Fold Road, Egerton, was warned twice by the manager at The Waterfold Village Inn, Heap Bridge, Bury, to be quiet.
Magistrates at Rochdale were told that after the second warning he was asked to leave and it was discovered there had been damage to the room's wall lights. He was later interviewed by the police.
Stone pleaded guilty to damaging the lights and was fined £50 and ordered to pay £100 compensation and £45 costs.
The defendant apologised and said his behaviour was down to the amount of alcohol he had drunk.
