GIVEN the nationwide acclaim and the fact that we are privileged to be seeing some the greatest talents in world football grace the Bolton shirt, I am left wondering whether Bolton deserves a top flight football team, given the disgraceful level of attendance at the game.
Save for 3,000-4,000 Villa fans, if we can only muster just over 10,000 fans for one of the most important games in the club's history, I would think that the chairman, manager and players must wonder why they are bothering to make the effort to put in the best displays that we have ever seen in the modern era.
The manager and players deserve a far greater stage, and it is embarassing that the town and fans cannot give them the support they deserve.
