WHILE I share some of the concerns with regard to postal voting, perhaps it could be turned to our advantage by combining it with a referendum on some of the issues which have dominated the Letters page of late, and which obviously concern voters.

Should we have fluoride added to our water? Should we have more speed humps and other traffic calming measures? Should we close Bradshawgate on weekend evenings?

We would then know what the public really think, and our elected representatives could act accordingly.
