Horwich Cycling Club promoted their biggest cyclo-cross to date with the National inter-area team championships in Queens Park, Bolton.
A large crowd saw a number of Horwich club riders competing for the north west against the best riders from all regions.
In the senior one hour race, Mark Leyland riding for North West 'B', finished in 26th place, helping his team to fifth overall.
Other results: Dave Headon 48th, Ric Sale 52nd, both NW 'C'. Overall team winners for the second year were NW 'A' lead by Rob Jebb in second place to winner Shaun Snodden.
Other individual results: Vets - Russell Owen 21st, NW 'C', and Dave Leyland 30th, NW 'A' (4th Vets team overall).
