THE away goals rule will come into play in the second leg of Wanderers' semi-final with Aston Villa -- but only if the aggregate scores are level after extra time.
So if Villa, who lost the first leg 2-5, were to be 3-0 up after 90 minutes , the tie would go to extra time. If it stayed 3-0, after the extra half-an-hour, David O'Leary's side would go through, having scored more away goals.
If extra-time still failed to separate the teams, the tie would be decided on penalties.
