Atherton LR 5 Nantwich Town 6: TEENAGE keeper Ashley Timms turned goalscorer for Atherton LR in an extraordinary NWCL First Division match match at Crilly Park on Saturday.
The 17-year-old netted as LR narrowly failed to claw back a 4-0 half-time deficit.
Mark Gadiner's penalty was followed by strikes from Dale Melling, Danny Griggs and Mark McGuire as Nantwich took control.
Kevin Hannon pulled one back for LR just after the break, but Griggs then made it 5-1.
Nantwich keeper Simon Pay then saved a penalty, but three goals in four minutes -- from Jason Kay, Mark Westworth and Simon Band -- pulled LR back to within one goal.
Ashley Lawton made it 6-4, before Timms blasted in from a corner in injury time.
Daisy Hill won 1-0 at Blackpool Mechanics in the NWCL Division Two.
