Radcliffe Borough 4 Frickley Athletic 2: RADCLIFFE Borough got back to winning ways with an entertaining victory over Frickley Athletic after taking a 3-0 lead in the opening 24 minutes.
New boy John Foster made an early impact, crossing for his brother Steve to head home the opener after only three minutes.
Borough dominated the early proceedings and extended their lead through Josh Mitten after 18 minutes and Mitten was on the scoresheet again six minutes later.
Frickley replied through Paul Marquis in the 34th minute and applied more pressure after the break. They hit the woodwork twice and eventually pulled another goal back through Dan Sheriffe on 65 minutes.
Borough, however, made an entertaining game safe when Foster bagged his second in the 78th minute but then missed a glorious opportunity to complete his hat trick.
Borough go to Lancaster on Tuesday for a Lancashire Trophy quarter final tie.
