SCHOOLS are being urged to talk about cancer by Macmillan Cancer Relief.
Drawing on the success of last year's campaign, the UK's biggest cancer care charity is re-launching its Cancertalk programme this academic year with new videos and improved resource pack for schools.
The event will take place between February 9, and13.
Maureen Rutter, Director of Macmillan's Northern Region, says: "The lifetime risk of developing cancer is more than one in three so it is likely that every family will come into contact with the disease in some way.
"Some children still think you can catch cancer from someone else and it's myths and misconceptions like this that we want to dispel."
