CHILDREN are more worried by schoolwork and lack of money than sex, drugs or bullying, a survey has shown.
Exams, falling out with friends, and homework topped the list of worries of 11 to 16-year-olds in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, according to a poll for the NSPCC.
But working-class children do place a greater emphasis on sex, drugs and bullying than their middle-class counterparts.
The NSPCC said the findings showed why it was vital for children to speak to someone about their worries -- and for the Government to provide them with in-school counsellors.
The charity has launched a campaign dubbed Someone To Turn To, backed by celebrities including Arsenal footballer Thierry Henry, singer Ms Dynamite and Bolton-born Radio 1 DJ Sara Cox.
