WANDERERS' backroom staff were on weather watch, working out which boots would be best suited to the Villa Park pitch conditions.
"We don't know if the weather is going to be a significant factor," Allardyce admitted
"It could take away some of the home advantage. It can be a great leveller, in which case the key factor could be the footwear."
