BURGLARS stole pottery worth more than £8,000 in a raid on a house in Lostock.
And today released photographs of the stolen items in a bid to track them down.
They are small Lladro china figurines and are highly distinctive.
Although rooms were searched, nothing else is believed to have been stolen in the raid on the house in Brinksway, Lostock.
The thives broke in by climbing over a porch roof and getting in through a patio door. It is believed that the owners were away at the time.
Sgt Bill Crittenden, of Bolton police, said: "We want to hear from anyone with information about the burglary or the whereabouts of the ornaments.
"Perhaps neighbours might have witnessed someone climbing on the house. Anyone who is approached by someone offering the figures for sale should also come forward."
The burglary occurred between Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
Anyone with information about the figurines or the burglary should contact Bolton Police on 0161 856 5663 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
