DIETERS in Horwich have sacrificed their left-over Christmas chocolate to help sick children.
Donna Knowles asked the members at her Horwich RMI classes to donate any spare sweets and chocolate to the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital in Pendlebury.
She said: "I can't believe how much people have brought in. I've got four bin bags weighing a total of five stone to deliver to the hospital. It's fantastic.
"Most members thought it was a good way of getting the temptation out of the way, while helping a good cause at the same time."
