HAVING early warnings of severe weather, of potential snow and even blizzards, has made the country stand up and listen.
Local news has been reporting all week how local councils were preparing not to get caught out this year, guaranteeing the safety of drivers and their community.
It's taken over 45 minutes to travel from Atherton to Bolton town centre along Newbrook Road, Over Hulton, which wasn't prepared, yet again!
Another year of dangerous conditions which could have been prevented with just a little insight into the possible dangers. Past winters have led to the town centre becoming gridlocked, multiple accidents and very unhappy travellers caught out in the cold.
It's a shame, every winter, Boltonians get a rough deal. Maybe next winter we'll see a little action without it costing lives.
