IPSWICH Town, Crewe Alexandra and QPR are all watching Radcliffe Borough defender Davey Luker.
The 22-year-old is also attracting attention from Cambridge United and Rochdale.
Dale boss Steve Parkin has already asked to take the defender on trial, but Borough manager Kevin Glendon turned down the approach.
Glendon said: "Lads go out on trial to a league club, don't make it and return disillusioned.
"I don't think that would would happen to Davey, but I have to look out for the best interests of both player an club and that's not the way to do it."
However, a compromise may be reached.
"I have suggested to Steve that we would let Davey go for a one-off game, either against Radcliffe behind closed doors, or a reserve or league game.
"So far Dale are the only team to make an official approach, but I'm sure they won't be the last, Davey is class."
Borough have no game this weekend.
