FORMER footballer George Best has been charged with drink driving in England.
Police say they stopped the former Manchester United player in Merton, south-west London, shortly after midnight.
He was found to be two times above the legal alcohol limit for driving.
Mr Best, 57, from West Ewell, Surrey, was arrested and taken to Wimbledon police station and is due to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court on Monday.
