THE funeral of a man who died in a car crash which left seven other people injured will take place on Wednesday.
Michael Jones, aged 32, died when his Peugeot 306 collided with a Vauxhall Cavalier on Belthorn Road, near Blackburn, last Sunday afternoon. Mr Jones lived with his partner Shelley and baby daughter, Hannah Rose, at Baxendale Street, Astley Bridge.
He suffered serious head and leg injuries and was treated by four teams of paramedics before being pronounced dead at Blackburn Royal Infirmary.
Mr Jones's cortege will leave his home on Wednesday at 10.45am before a service at St Paul's Church, Astley Bridge, at 11am, followed by a private family burial at Astley Bridge cemetery.
