GUDNI Bergsson will have to settle for a place in front of the television when Wanderers go for glory in the Carling Cup Final next month.
The former Reebok captain -- now working as a lawyer in his native Iceland -- is in the middle of a barrister's course and will not be able to get to the Millennium Stadium.
"I'd love to be there but I just can't make it," he said. "I'll certainly be watching the final on TV and hoping we win it, of course."
Bergsson, who made his Bolton debut as substitute in the 1995 League Cup Final, when Wanderers lost 2-1 to Liverpool, hosts a Sunday morning Match of the Day-style programme in Iceland and flies the Reebok flag whenever possible. "We focus on the Bolton games as much as possible," he said.
