Below, Second World War veterans re-lived memories of the Arnhem campaign in January, 1978 when they were invited to watch "A Bridge Too Far" at the Odeon Cinema.

Based on the book by Cornelius Ryan, the film tells the story of Operation Market Garden, the campaign which had vivid memories for the 26 local veterans who were there.

The event for former servicemen and their wives was organised by cinema manager Mr Alan Mason.
