BLACKSHAW Primary pupils had a great time playing African percussion instruments during a two-day music workshop.
During the workshop, organised by Bolton Music Service, every pupil from nursery up to Year Six had a go at different rhythms on the instruments, which included African drums, at the Bideford Drive school in Breightmet.
Headteacher Lynda Lescure said the workshop had been inspirational.
"The children had just the best time," she said. "As I was walking around the school I could really hear how much they improved from when they first started playing compared to the end of the day."
