A music fun and activity day hit the right note for hundreds of Bolton pupils.
More than 300 primary school children attended a brass, woodwind and percussion day at Victoria Hall.
A further 200 novice musicians enjoyed activities involving string instruments.
The event was organised by Bolton Music Service and was sponsored by Packers.
Spokesman Liz Forrest said: "It was a wonderful two days and all the children enjoyed themselves.
"We are looking for children who are interested in playing instruments known as 'endangered species', such double bass, viola, bassoon and French horn."
