THE "Sold Out" signs will be a regular feature at the Reebok next season if season ticket sales continue to run at their current record-breaking levels.

Wanderers are expecting sales to hit the 20,000 ceiling before the new campaign kicks off at home to Charlton on August 14 and are warning there could be a series of lock-outs.

Despite fans still waiting for a major signing after a summer of frustration on the transfer market, latest figures reflect the high expectation levels fuelled by the team's achievement last season when they finished eighth in the Premiership -- their highest top flight position for 44 years.

Sales have topped 18,000 -- more than at the same stage last summer -- and officials are confident they will reach the point where they may have to turn customers away.

Commercial director, Gareth Moores confirmed today that there were fewer than 2,000 season tickets still available and defended the decision to impose a 20,000 sales cap.

"We have experienced unprecedented demand and are confident of achieving record sales levels," he said.

"Season tickets are the only way of guaranteeing your seat for every single Premiership match and we are confident that all home areas will be sold out for the vast majority, if not all games.

"Following last season's record Premiership finish, interest in the club is at an all-time high.

"We do, however, recognise that many of our supporters are unable to buy season tickets and, by capping the level, we will be able to ensure that a limited number of tickets are available on a match by match basis."
