A SATURDAY night "on the town" in Bolton usually means a "no-go" area for decent human beings seeking a pleasant night out.
Out-numbered by hordes of mindless binge-drinking morons, it is impossible to find a pub or bar which does not have blasting, thumping music, which obliterates any form of conversation whatsoever.
Could someone open a quiet pub for a change, or at least offer a choice of quiet and loud areas.
And why should the taxpayer have to pay for these marshals to keep an eye on these idiots?
There are signs that the government intends to ban smoking in pubs, but why don't they ban loud music while they are at it, as this will prove to be just as much a health hazard in the long run.
But I lose faith when I hear that the licensing laws are to be relaxed to allow 24 hour drinking. This will only lead to "more of the same" and worse!
